Estimados padres y guardianes, queremos abordar el tema con respecto al uso de estolas personalizadas compradas a vendedores fuera de nuestra escuela para la graduación. El 15 de mayo, nuestra escuela organizará una ceremonia de reconocimientos donde presentaremos premios a los estudiantes en función de sus logros académicos, participación en actividades escolares, participación deportiva y aquellos que han estado con nosotros desde Pre-K / Kinder. Gracias por su comprensión y cooperación. ----- Dear Parents and Guardians, we want to address the topic regarding the wearing of customized stoles purchased from vendors outside of our school for graduation. On May 15th, our school will host an award and robing ceremony where we will be presenting awards to students based on their academic achievements, involvement in school activities, sports participation, and those who have been with us since Pre-K/Kinder. This event is an opportunity for us to recognize and reward the hard work of our students. In the past, some students have purchased customized stoles. We want to emphasize that we do not want to send the message that students can opt out of participation and still purchase their own stole. However, if you have already purchased a stole, your child may wear it at the robing ceremony on Thursday, May 15th. Please note that only stoles and cords provided by Crooked Oak will be allowed at the graduation ceremony on Friday, May 17th. We are in the process of reapplying for the 21st CCLC grant. This is the grant that supports our afterschool program (STREAM). We would like community feedback for this process. Last week we started our first Early Start class for our 0-5 year old future RufNex! Mrs. Romero taught them how to hold markers, paint brushes, and strengthen their hand muscles using playdoh. Crooked Oak Middle School Soccer teams will be having a fundraiser on April 1, 2024 from 4:00-8:00 at Buffalo Wild Wings in Del City to raise money for equipment and other team needs. It's time to start planning for summer. FAMcamps at the First American Museum are opening up enrollement. Dates and Times: FAMcamps include eight sessions between June 3 and Aug. 2, with no camp the week of July 1. All camps run Monday–Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with before (8–9 a.m.) and after (4–5:30 p.m.) care available for $30 per week. An average day at FAMcamp may include gallery visits, a FAM-provided snack in the morning and afternoon, time outdoors on the FAM Mound or at Festival Plaza, and cultural education opportunities. Cost: Tuition begins at $225 per week.
