Crooked Oak Middle School is experiencing unprecedented academic success. A record-high score has been achieved on the most recent school report card, marking a significant milestone in COMS history. Highest score in the past 10 years. Reading proficiency levels have demonstrated substantial growth, increasing from 35% to 43% above grade level within the first half of the academic year. A strategic partnership with Solution Tree has been established to enhance instructional practices and further elevate student achievement. Data analysis reveals a remarkable acceleration of student learning during the 2024-2025 academic year, exceeding the rate of progress observed in any of the past ten years. We enthusiastically encourage parent/guardian engagement. If your student plays basketball, please be at the school by 1:00 pm on Monday, January 6th to leave for their game at OCA. All students will return to school on Tuesday, January 7th.

Updated location: Elementary Cafetorium Dear Parents and Guardians: We are thrilled to invite you to our Winter Holiday Concert on Friday, December 13th, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM in the Elementary Cafetorium! This special evening will showcase our talented Middle School and High School bands, along with a spotlight performance by our top musician ensemble. We’ve seen tremendous growth in our students’ musical skills this semester, and we can’t wait for you to hear all they’ve accomplished!  This concert is a major part of our program, and attendance is required for all students as it counts for 10% of their final grade. Students must stay for the entire event to receive full credit, and we know you’ll want to stay too—it’s going to be an amazing night of music and holiday spirit!
