The Ruf-Nex Academy volunteered at the Regional Food Bank this morning and packed food for over 2,700 take-home backpacks! Dear Crooked Oak Families, This week, district leaders were made aware of an alleged threat circulating on Snapchat/Instagram among students. Similar messages have been shared across the state, affecting multiple districts. We want to assure you that we are investigating this matter very seriously and are in close contact with the Oklahoma City Police Department. At this time, we do not believe there is an immediate threat to any Crooked Oak school sites. However, out of an abundance of caution, you may notice an increased security presence around our buildings in the coming days. Given the current climate and heightened sensitivities surrounding school safety, we want to keep you informed. Unfortunately, social media threats have become a troubling trend, and we treat every potential threat with the utmost seriousness. Any statement, whether real or duplicated, that endangers the safety of our students will not be tolerated. We encourage all parents to speak with their children about the importance of reporting anything they see or hear that could pose a danger. If students come across concerning behavior, social media posts, or messages, we ask that they immediately say something, screenshot it, and report it to a trusted adult or school official. Quick reporting allows us to address issues before they escalate. We encourage you to report any concerning behavior or information directly to our administration. The safety and security of all students and staff remains our top priority.
